Grief Recovery

We care about you long after the funeral is over.

When a death occurs, there is often a deluge of support from friends and family in the days and weeks that follow. But when weeks turn into months, the pain is still fresh – even as support wanes. We want you to know we are here for you to help you through the many complicated emotions that come with loss. We offer many resources to help along the way, along with sponsoring memorial services for veterans and other important groups throughout the year. View our events calendar for more information.

Grief Library and Resource Center

We can offer referrals to grief support groups, therapists and counseling services, and assistance with questions related to funeral preplanning, government benefits, pension plans, and insurance details.

Community Events/Holiday Memorial Program

The holidays can be an especially challenging time for those who have lost a loved one. Since 1997, we’ve come alongside our neighbors who are grieving by offering a candlelight service in honor of those who have died. This Muhlenberg County tradition gives family and friends an opportunity to gather and remember their loved ones. We present each family with a beautifully engraved Christmas ornament as a personalized way to commemorate their loved one.
